Convert weight to volume for any ingredient.
Since cups measure volume and grams measure weight, conversions depend on the ingredient. Key references: 125g flour = 1 cup, 200g sugar = 1 cup, 227g butter = 1 cup, 240g water = 1 cup, 85g cocoa = 1 cup, 128g oats = 1 cup. Dense ingredients like honey (340g/cup) have nearly 3× the grams-per-cup as light ingredients like cocoa (85g/cup). Most international recipes use grams, while US recipes use cups. When in doubt, use a digital kitchen scale — they cost under $15 and eliminate measuring inconsistencies. For recipes with 5+ ingredients, using weight saves both time and dishes.
