Estimate intracerebral hemorrhage volume using the ABC/2 method from CT measurements.
The ABC/2 method estimates ICH volume from non-contrast CT. A is the largest hemorrhage diameter, B is perpendicular to A on the same slice, and C is the approximate craniocaudal extent. Volume ≈ (A × B × C) / 2. Volumes above 30 mL are associated with higher mortality, and volumes above 60 mL carry very poor prognosis.
