Calculate PVR from right heart catheterization data.
PVR = (mPAP − PCWP) / CO in Wood units. Multiply by 80 for dynes·s·cm⁻⁵. Normal PVR < 2 WU (< 160 dynes). PVR ≥ 3 WU confirms pre-capillary pulmonary hypertension. Used to differentiate pre- from post-capillary pulmonary hypertension and assess operability of congenital heart defects.
